Supply of Two New Meteorological Radars in Latvia

In 2026, ENVILAT SIA, together with its long-term partner Vaisala Oy, was awarded a public procurement contract for the supply of two new meteorological radars in Latvia. Vaisala Oyj is a globally recognized Finnish technology company and one of the world's leading manufacturers of meteorological observation systems, weather radars, and environmental monitoring solutions. ENVILAT has been the official Vaisala partner in Latvia for more than 25 years, providing equipment supply, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support. Meteorological radars play a critical role in modern weather observation and forecasting. They enable real-time monitoring of precipitation, storms, wind patterns, and severe weather events, supporting aviation safety, public weather services, emergency response planning, transportation infrastructure, and environmental monitoring. The project represents an important investment in Latvia’s meteorological infrastructure and contributes to improved forecasting accuracy, enhanced public safety, and more reliable weather information for critical sectors across the country.

Supply of 11 New Meteorological Stations for LVĢMC

In 2025, ENVILAT SIA successfully delivered eleven new meteorological stations to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC), further strengthening Latvia’s national weather observation network. The supplied stations are equipped with modern meteorological sensors capable of continuously measuring key atmospheric parameters, including air temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, precipitation, and other environmental indicators. The data collected by these stations supports weather forecasting, climate monitoring, hydrological analysis, and environmental research. As a long-term partner of Vaisala Oyj and a trusted provider of meteorological monitoring solutions in Latvia, ENVILAT was responsible for equipment delivery, system integration, commissioning, and technical support. The project contributes to improving the quality, reliability, and spatial coverage of meteorological observations across Latvia, providing critical data for public weather services, aviation, transportation, agriculture, scientific research, and emergency preparedness.

Supply and Installation of a Wind Measurement LiDAR System

n 2025, ENVILAT SIA completed the supply and installation of a Wind LiDAR measurement system for the Electronic and Computer Science Institute in Riga, Latvia. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology enables remote and highly accurate measurement of wind speed, wind direction, turbulence, and other atmospheric parameters at multiple heights without the need for traditional meteorological masts. This advanced technology is increasingly used in renewable energy projects, atmospheric research, aviation, and environmental monitoring applications. As part of the project, ENVILAT provided system delivery, installation, commissioning, and technical support, ensuring reliable operation and high-quality measurement data for scientific and research activities. The system supports atmospheric and wind research by providing detailed vertical wind profiles and valuable data for studies related to meteorology, climate, renewable energy, and environmental sciences.
